General Questions

Health & Safety.
  • (ALL GAMES ARE PRIVATE).
  • All windows are kept open to ventilate the building and rooms are aired out and  air purifiers are used in games rooms after each game.
  • All games have their own common area so as to keep groups apart
  • All players will be provided with hand sanitizer on arrival.
  • All games rooms are cleaned after each game.
  • Each game has designated bathrooms, lockers & assigned space.

I'm nervous. Is AdventureRooms safe? Absolutely!
We get asked this question a lot. There is absolutely nothing unsafe about our games. Many people come to us nervous at first because of the unexpected, and they always have a great time! AdventureRooms is commited to the safety and wellbeing of our customers & staff.
In almost 7 years in business, AdventureRooms has had thousands of people through our doors and has never had an incident in any of our games. Statistically, our escape games are 100% safe.
All our game rooms are fitted with smoke alarms, smoke detectors and emergency exit lighting which have all been fitted to the highest standard by certified electricians. Our fire control panels in place have been certified and commissioned by industry professionals. All of our fire exstinguishers are periodically checked and maintained to the highest standards by an external company.
Once in a games room, players can leave when they want. Doors are NEVER locked and we have quick release systems in place where applicable to facilitate an easy exit at all times.
All games are monitored by our high quality CCTV systems which have been installed by a professional security company.
In 2018 we had a health & safety consultancy firm carry out a comprehensive health & safety risk assessment. AdventureRooms continues to employ the standards of the health & safety statement provided by the company on an ongoing basis to ensure safety for our customers and staff alike.

7 days a week. Games start at the following set times. 11am, 12:45pm, 2:30pm, 4:15pm, 6pm & 7:45pm is our last game.

What age groups do we cater for at AdventureRooms?

We cater ​for 11 years of age and up. (Participants under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a guardian​)​.
Please note: Our games are not suitable for Infants or toddlers. We have accepted younger children and we leave this to the discretion of the parents/guardian.

Who can participate at Adventure Rooms?

AdventureRooms is fun and unique outing for Families, Friends, Stag & Hen Nights, Birthday Celebrations, Tourists, Date Nights, Pre Dinner Activity, Christmas Celebrations, Corporate Team Building, and more. We also welcome teachers and lecturers with students for an interesting class outing.

I'm a first timer. What game do you recommend booking?

Any of our games are suitable! However if you don’t want to start off with the most challenging game we have, we recommend leaving T4K3N or The Black Queen until you have played at least one other game.

Can I come see the rooms before we play?

No, this would defeat the purpose of our game and take away the element of mystery and surprise.

Where is AdventureRooms located?

AdventureRooms is located at Classic House, Green St, Dublin 7. ( please note: we are not beside the Rotunda Hospital). D07 K76P

We’re just off Capel street (beside bar 1661) facing the old court house on Green street.

Is there parking at our location?

Metered street parking is available near our location. Jervis Street parking garage is a 5 minute walk from our location.

Please note, AdventureRooms Dublin cannot be held responsible for cars parked on the street.

Is AdventureRooms suitable for pregnant women?

Yes. Our games are non physical.

I am claustrophobic, can i participate?

Absolutely, but it’s up to you. The rooms are never truly locked and puzzles are equipped with quick release settings for anyone who wants to leave the game at any time.

We do not feature any closed-in or small spaces in our games.

What attire should i wear?
Our games are non physical but we do recommend comfortable clothing and flat shoes.
Is AdventureRooms wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately, due to the layout of our games, this is not possible.
When should I arrive for my game?
Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes prior to your game. Please note, due to time restrictions, groups that arrive late cannot be accommodated.
Is this a suitable place for a birthday party?
While AdventureRooms is a popular event for a birthday celebration, we cannot host parties. We do not have facilities or adequate space for parties, and we ask that food and drink not be consumed at our games.
Is AdventureRooms suitable for my child's birthday?
Older children or teenagers over the age of 14 might find this more entertaining than younger children, as some of our puzzles may be a bit too advanced. However, we welcome a mix of ages and families to participate together. Please note: Children under the age of 16 require an adult supervisor to accompany them for the entire duration of the game. Although AdventureRooms is a popular activity as part of a birthday celebration, we cannot host birthday parties, as we do not have the adequate space or facilities.
Can we have alcoholic beverages at AdventureRooms?
We have a no-alcohol or controlled substance policy at AdventureRooms. Please note, any player displaying drunk or disorderly behavior will be asked to leave, and no refund will be issued. We prefer to keep AdventureRooms for thinking and the pub for drinking. ; )
Are you covered in case of accidents?
Yes. But please note, participants are responsible for their own actions and must take every precation to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit at AdventureRooms. Our public liability insurance policy and or safety statement can be requested by contacting us at info@adventurerooms.ie.
Do you have a Fire Safety Procedure in place?
Yes. We make sure that regular checks and drills are carried out in order to ensure the safety of our staff and customers at all times. If you need any more info please refer to our Risk Assessment and Health & Safety Policy

Corporate/Social Club Bookings

I want to book for a company outing, can i receive an invoice?

Yes. Please contact us to request an invoice for the full amount or request one on the day of your appointment.

I would like to book for a large group. Can you accommodate 20/30/40/50 players at a time?

Our capacity is up to 40 players maximum, when divided between our 3 games. To book for large groups, multiple time slots need to be booked concurrently. To book all games, click on “add another item” during the booking process. When booking two or more games for the same time slot, please check that all games are available before proceeding. Our games run every two hours 7 days a week from 10am until our last game at 8pm.

I want to book on behalf of a social club. We don't have a credit card. What to do?

What form of payment is accepted?

We accept all major credit cards, cash and cheques. For payments via bank transfers & cheques, please email us at info@adventurerooms.ie
All bookings require full payment in advance to secure a game/games.

Is a reservation required?

Yes. We only accept bookings via the online booking calendar. Please visit the “book now” page for availability, times and pricing. For large bookings, please email us at info@adventurerooms.ie

What is the minimum/maximum number of participants PER GAME?

T4K3N (Classic one hour format 2-6 players) – (Duel Format 5-10 players).

Mafia (Classic one hour format 4-6 players) – (Duel Format 7-12 players).

The Black Queen (Classic one hour format 4-7 players) – (Duel Format 7-14 players).

A maximum of 40 players can be accommodated at any one time when all 3 games are booked for the same time slot. All games can be played concurrently once they are all available.

We have 3 games to choose from: T4K3N, Mafia & The Black Queen.
All games are available in a classic one hour format or a duel format. Please see below for the duration of each format.
 
What game format do you offer?

T4K3N, World Trip, Mafia & The Black Queen can all be played in either the Classic 1 hour format or the Duel Format.

What is the duration of a game?

The classic format comprises of 60 minutes game play. (Please allow at least 1 hour 10 minutes for this game).

The Duel format comprises of two 30 minute rounds with a short reset break between rounds. (Please allow at least 1 hour 30 minutes for this game).

How does The Classic format work?

The classic format is where a group works together as a team to solve puzzles and escape from a mysterious room within 60 minutes. Only one half of participants manage to escape within the given time. Use logic and lateral thinking to tackle the tasks at hand with the help of obscure and interesting objects to regain freedom.

How does the duel format work?
The duel format is where two teams go head to head in two 30 minute rounds. Team A are placed in one room and has to try solve all puzzles and enter the room of Team B. Team B are placed in another room and has to try solve all their puzzles and escape their room.
There is a reset after 30 minutes. Both teams switch rooms and continue for another 30 minutes. The first team to escape with the overall best time or most puzzles solved wins.

Please note. Total game play in the Duel format is one hour. (Two 30 minute rounds) If you are playing a duel format, please allow 90 minutes for the duration of your visit.

What is the difference between T4K3N, Black Queen & MAFIA?
Mafia is a populalr, fun gangster themed game. The Black Queen was so popular we have decided to change it up a bit to give it a refresher, and we won’t say more than that! T4K3N (Taken) has a fun and thrilling spy theme. Please view “games” for more information.
I am trying to find specific details/pictures of your game but can't find anything.
Apart from our social media channels, We do not post any details regarding the puzzles or any photos of our game online or anywhere else. It is essential that these games remain secret to maintain the mystery of the experience.
I want to book a game but i am unsure of numbers?
We suggest booking for fewer people than expected. Extra players can be added and paid for on the day once the maximum number of players alloted for that game are not exceeded. Please note, another game may not be available to accomodate extra players
I am unsure of dates, can i provisionally book a date.

We do not offer the option to provisionally booking. All games must be booked  in advance in order to secure a booking.

All games are private and once booked, they cannot be booked by another group.

I have made a booking. I would like to INCREASE the number of players. What to do?
Addtional players can be added to a game once the maximum number of players alloted for that game are not exceeded.
Please note: We do not need to be notified in this case. The price difference can be settled upon arrival.
I have made a booking. I would like to DECREASE the number of players. What to do?
Please inform us at least 1 WEEK before your game. AdventureRooms is a live event game. Once a booking is confirmed, any cancellations, modifications to number of players or rescheduling made within 1 WEEK  of a game will incur full cost. In the event that less people attend than the game is booked for, the price difference will not be refunded.

Please note: Any payments made for a game cannot be refunded within 1 WEEK of a game. When booking with us, we strongly recommend booking for fewer people than expected as full payment is incurred for no shows or partial no shows.

What is our cancellation policy?

AdventureRooms has a strict ONE WEEK cancellation policy to facilitate other guests. AdventureRooms is a live event game. Once a booking is confirmed, any cancellations, modifications to number of players or rescheduling made within ONE WEEK will incur full cost. In the event that less people attend than the game is booked for, the price difference will not be refunded. In the event of more people attending the game than it is booked for, the price difference can be settled upon arrival. Please note: Due to our busy Christmas season, all bookings modifications/cancellations during the months of November and December inclusive require at least two weeks cancellation notice without exception.

Please note: Any payments made for a game cannot be refunded within one week of a game. When booking with us, we strongly recommend booking for less people than expected as full payment is incurred for no shows or partial no shows.

Can large groups be accommodated?

Our capacity is 2-40 players! A maximum of 50 players can be divided between between the 3 games. To book for large groups, multiple time slots need to be booked. To book all games, click on “add another item” during the booking process. When booking two or more games for the same time slot, please check that all games are available before proceeding. Please email us at info@adventurerooms.ie for assistance

I want to cancel/modify/reschedule my booking?

AdventureRooms has a strict 1 week cancellation policy in order to facilitate other guests. Adventurerooms is a live event game. Once a booking is confirmed, any cancellations, modifications to number of players or rescheduling made within 1 week will incur full cost. In the event that fewer people attend than the game is booked for, the price difference is non refundable. In the event more people attending the game than it is booked for, the price difference can be settled upon arrival.

Please note, due to our busy Christmas season, all booking modifications/cancellations during the months of November and December inclusive require two week cancellation notice.

Please note: Any payments made for a game/games are non refundable within 1 week of a game.

We strongly recommend booking for fewer people than expected as full payment is incurred for no shows or partial no shows.

Problems with booking?
If your card has been declined during the payment process with the error message “Do not honour“, please contact your bank to unblock your card to finalize the payment.
